Allied health professionals in the UK are currently in extremely high demand and as a result there are a wide range of opportunities available to qualified candidates looking to develop their careers.
Working overseas for the first time can be a daunting proposition. Athona has vast experience of assisting candidates during this process to ensure the transition is as smooth as possible.
We can offer access to the following benefits to all overseas candidates we place in the UK:
1. Bank Account
Arrive in the UK with your bank account set up. We will need you to fill in an application form and then you can leave the rest of the process with us to complete so that when you arrive everything is ready for you to use.
2. Information Session
Discover useful information and tips on living and working in the UK. Book your session with Athona to coincide with your arrival in the UK so that you don't waste time trying to work things out for yourself.
3. NI Advice
To work in the UK you must apply and receive a National Insurance Number. The number ensures that the National Insurance contributions and the tax you pay are properly recorded on your account. It also acts as a reference number for the whole social security system.
4. Tax Return Advice
Many of our candidates have to complete a personal tax return at the end of the tax year. Speak to our Finance team for advice on your tax return.
5. Free E-mail Account
Take advantage of a free e-mail facility which can accommodate a large number of emails. Most importantly e-mail your CV to this account before you leave home so you have guaranteed access to it when you arrive in the UK.
6. USB Memory Stick
You will also receive a USB memory stick so that you can store all your new UK documents for easy and simple access.
7. Pay as You Go SIM Card
